Dining Experience: Toulouse

Hello people, i have not blogged for a while (sorry) but what better way to come back with a new series of blogs. Say hi to the brand new genre, (Dining experience) what i will be aiming to do here is too share my dining experiences with you…. my beautiful readers and fellow food lovers.

Toulouse
So i took my girlfriend out for date night last week tuesday as we like to do date night every week, you know do our romance thing!

So toulouse what can i say ? I drive past the restaurant almost everyday after work- its located right on the end of the seafront chalk well end, those of you that live in southend. I have always had the impression it was a posh, expensive place to eat, so it was not too interesting, but it all became interesting when i noticed the early bird menu outside, 2 courses for £11.95 or 3 courses 14.95 between 4pm and 7pm, so you could pretty much paint a picture of what happened next.

Starters
I had
Fried calamari with a sweet and sour chilli sauce & watercruse (Rating 8/10)

My girlfriend had
pork and duck patte with a nice sweet chutney and warm bread (Rating 7/10)

Main course

I had
pan-fried Ox liver and a shard of crispy bacon on creamy mash potato and a savory cabbage with a side of sweet onion jus (Rating 8/10)

My girlfriend had
Panfried cod sitting on a tomato sauce with new potatoes. brilliant dish!! (Rating 8/10)

Desserts

I had
Rhubarb posset with shortbread and cream with a raspberry sauce (rating 9/10)

My girlfriend had

Vanilla Cheesecake with white chocolate and raspberry sauce (Rating 8/10)

Including drinks the meal cost around £35-40 including a tip!

All in all people this was a great meal, not to mention the A-class service, i had one of the most polite waiters you are ever going to meet. So i extremely recommend you to go to toulouse !!!

I will aim to do a dining experience post every friday, Now i won't promise to deliver every friday, as i may be on a tight work schedule but i promise to try my best to deliver!

AMSTERDAM

HEY HEY HEY! well were do i start ? me and the GF just got back from an adventurous 4 day city break in Amsterdam- it wasn't random, it was for valentines day and to celebrate my birthday my resentful 23rd birthday, even though it was a great time, ever since getting past the 21st I've just not liked getting older (sad face).

Amsterdam ?

Amsterdam was great! what a awesome place, the dutch people are very nice friendly and welcoming. the hotel i stayed at The Golden Tulip (Amsterdam West) which i had mixed feelings about. If i had to rate it would be 6/10. The room was alright, customer service 9/10, Restaurant was a rip off at €29 euros each, the fee for breakfast was at €17 euros, it may seem like I'm being cheap but at home (ENGLAND) you can get a full english traditional breakfast at £6. I have been to a 3 star B&B better looking better stay and had a free breakfast.

The tourist attractions ? first off all i recommend anyone who reads this that is going to go to Amsterdam, to make sure they go to sara's PancakeHouse, its a very small restaurant ran by a couple of motherly like women, who you can put love and hard work in to what they do. The breakfast, pancakes and drinks they serve is just 10/10 anything you want in a pancake you can get. 'And  if you are a michelin star resultant snob it probably won't be your place so stay in your own lane. i think apart from the sex shows, smoking weed, canal boat rides, museums etc, for me sara's pancake house topped my trip!

The red-light district is great, always packed and a lot of women on show ready to get naughty. I don't condone it, it doesn't feel right that we have people result to having to make money like that, but at the same time its an experience that everyone needs to see and get the feel off. The sex shows are a great experience, i won't go in to detail but they are GO THERE!

Bluebirds Cafe ?

I went there 3 days straight, they had nice coffee and nice weed too, i can't say anymore.

I don't really have any more detail, people only go to DAM, to smoke, red-light district and canals really, but its a great place to chilling out and a social environment. If i had to describe it with one word it would be "RUSTIC"

New Nike Mercurial Vapor (Electric Green)

Nike Mercurial Vapor

In 2014 i became something of a boot collector, but not consciously, i was just going thru them like a bag of haribo's. In total i had 5 pairs of football boots, nike, adidas, panti-fola etc compared to my football associates who still wear boots from like 5 years ago I'm a big spender- but i guess we are all different. I like getting fresh new pairs of football boots not just the cheap shit ones, the expensive sparkling ones simply because thats what i always wanted when i was a kid but i couldn't afford them, but now i can and i live on my preference.
